Sandy Stewart
Sandy Stewart is an outstanding educator, consultant and national presenter. She is in her 37th year as a full time educator and truly understands the challenges that teachers face in the fast and furious pace of their day. Her extensive classroom experiences as well as her strong belief that classrooms should be places of great joy, relevant and intriguing learning have led her to become a popular presenter on a variety of fascinating topics. She is highly skilled at bridging current research and theories behind big ideas in education to the practical application in everyday teaching. Her journey has led her to clearly understand how building genuine relationships with students, offering engaging instructional approaches, and creating a healthy physical and emotional classroom environment are inextricably intertwined. She also understands how important it is for teachers to leave a seminar inspired, informed and with strategies and approaches that they can use tomorrow. Her seminars are highly interactive and reflective. She models what she has learned so teachers can experience the difference firsthand. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm, experience and ideas with you so that you, in turn, can create the conditions for your students to flourish and become even more excited about their learning.
She is the author of Creating an Emotionally Healthy Classroom; Motivation, Mindset and Grit; and Motivating Your Hard-to-Reach, Uninterested Students. In addition to these topics she also presents on Differentiation & The Brain as well as all topics related to teaching gifted students.
